Jennifer Cartusciello
Born and raised right here in Houston, TX, there was no chance for Jennifer NOT to fall in love with Latin dancing, especially SALSA. Dancing is just a way of life for her. She used to drive her parents crazy dancing around the house non stop at such an early age. Her mom finally had it and enrolled Jennifer in ballet classes before she knew her right from her left. It was then that she realized she just wanted to be a dancer in life. At an early age Jennifer studied ballet, jazz, and tap. Through high school she moved on to country and western and hip hop. It wasn’t until her freshmen year in college, at age 19, that she discovered her passion for salsa. It was such an incredible passion that Jennifer would drive home every weekend from college (2 ½ hours away) just so she could dance at the Latin clubs here in Houston.
Since she discovered her love for Salsa, She has continued her studies with tango, rueda de casino, bachata, mergenue, cha cha and guaguanco. Jennifer has danced all over Texas from San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, El Paso, El Campo, Wichita Falls and Nacogdoches. Outside of Texas she's danced in Portland, Chicago, New York, Miami, Columbus, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Jamaica, Germany, and Mexico. Jennifer has been teaching since 1995 and has enjoyed every moment of it. For her, teaching someone that has never danced salsa before and introducing them to her passion, seeing them thrive and advance, is the most rewarding experience. Life is too short not to be dancing. |
