Raul Orlando Garcia
Raul O. Garcia loves Salsa dancing as a creative outlet and a way to stay in touch with his Cuban and Spanish roots. Formal training in Latin dances began six years ago but he has been a fan of the music since childhood. Currently Raul assists in teaching classes for Strictly Street Salsa’s teacher training program and has also performed in venues such as the Museum of Fine Art - Houston, the Cuban Puerto Rican Festival, the Texas Salsa Congress, and at several cultural and charitable events across Houston.
His travels to Cuba, Venezuela and other cities with strong Latin influences, have strengthened his love for this infectious rhythm but more importantly, have cemented in him, the passion and Latin soul that is Salsa. Whether you prefer Cuban or L.A. Style, On1 or On2, Colombian or Puerto Rican, Raul feels that with dedication and practice anyone can become one with the music, which in essence is the most important element. |
